D3: Design Games
One of the key idea on which D3 build on is “Design is an accident that kicks in at conception, maximizing the opportunities to make that accidents happen is the key for innovation”
D3 turns the design practices into set of games, which brings different set of people, skills and experiences work together to make design decisions in a collaborative way.
D3 describes 11 different design games, which are grouped into five different categories: Startup, Understand, Question, Design and Experience.
Startup
These games help the team to explore the purpose and vision for the project or product.
Understand
The first step in design is to understand the existing system and problems. These games are designed to explore the domain, business, customers, users, and context.

Question
Innovation is impossible, unless we question. These games are designed to question existing business models, systems and processes; and help you to innovate new scenarios and user experiences by connecting different technologies together.
Design
These games, help the team to explore other elements of solution design, such as Interaction, Information and Intelligence.
Experience
Solution design is not an one time activity, it is a process of continuous improvement and refinement, These games help you to experience what has been built and refine the solution.
